Christmas at Your Ideas

So we closed shop for Christmas 2011 to get some well deserved rest ready for what 2012 will bring.

December was a bit of a blur but we’ll let you in on some of our highlights…

-Our 2 Spectrum groups joined forces for a Christmas party to remember with a night of festivities, food and fun!

-The WIG (With It Group) showed off their entrepreneurial skills with a festive fundraiser for their group.

-Our Arrow Vale students were rewarded for their hard work with a day out in London checking out the sites and swooning over the beautiful Hamleys toy store.

-Local youngsters working on our animation project were treated to an afternoon at the German Christmas Market in Birmingham, they were particularly impressed with the 1/2 meter frankfurts!

-Our Christmas window display was the best yet and we have received high praise from locals, young and old.

-An unexpected generous donor offered to fund resources and equipment for the project which will enable us to buy much needed art equipment for the centre to get creative with in 2012, and means our pool table is in for a much needed makeover at last!

However, the best thing about Christmas 2011 was being back in our centre, enjoying it with our many members. After the traumatic Absestos Battle of Christmas 2010, which left the project battered, bruised and without our centre for 3 months over the festive period, it was an absolute joy to just be back in the centre.

So that leaves us at the start of 2012, rested and ready to make this ‘Your Ideas’ best year yet.
